Description
Deutsch: 19.04.2010 09306 Schweikershain (Erlau): Die Dorfkirche (GMP: 51.046596,12.090128), stand unter dem Patronat des Ritterguts Schweikershain und war die Herrschafts- und Begräbniskirche der Grafen von Wallwitz. Hans Joachim von Wallwitz, der Schweikershain 1718 gekauft hatte, ließ die Kirche 1719 bis 1721 unter Verwendung von Teilen des Vorgängerbaus errichten. So wurde das Sakramentshaus der mittelalterlichen Dorfkirche, eine gotische Spitzbogennische mit Eisengitter, in den Neubau übertragen. Das Gotteshaus ist eine einfache barocke Landkirche auf rechteckigem Grundriss. Der klassizistische Kanzelaltar wurde 1808 von Christian Reinhard Graf von Wallwitz gestiftet.
