Description
English: Russula versicolor Jul. Schäff.

Image location: Larkspur, California, USA

Smallish tacky caps up to 4.3 cm across with readily peelable cuticles. Pale yellow to yellow spore print with spores ~ 6.1-7.1 X 5.8-6.1 microns, moderately warty and little or no reticulations. Appeared to have an oil droplet. Taste seemed mild. Growing under planted Birch.

Deutsch: Russula versicolor Kleine bis zu 4,3cm breite schmierige Hüte mit leicht abziehbarer Huthaut. Sporenpulver blassgelb bis gelb. Sporen: 6,1-7,1 x 5,8-6,1 µm, mäßig warzig, Warzen nicht oder kaum netzig verbunden. Geschmack mild. Unter gepflanzten Birken in Larkspur, California, USA
