Description
Deutsch: 15.04.2013 01157 Dresden-Kemnitz, Merbitzer Straße 53a (vorn) und 53 (hinten): Die Weltenmühle (GMP: 51.068937,13.659656), Straßenseite. Die Ursprünge liegen im Jahr 1556, als Benno Fehrmann ein Mahlwerk in Betrieb nahm. 1606 erhielt der Besitzer die Erlaubnis zum Mahlen. 1899 kaufte der Gastwirt Birnbaum aus Briesnitz die Weltemühle und erweiterte sie zum Ausflugsrestaurant mit Gästegarten. 1920 erfuhr die Mühle nochmals einen Aufschwung. Sie verfügte über 1200 Garten- und 600 Saalplätze, einer Parkanlage mit Teich, den "Lunapark". 1940 befand sich hier eine Luftschutzschule. Bis 1948 war sie Gaststätte. Danach war die Anlage im Besitz des VEB Dresdner Plast- und Kunstlederwaren. Seit 1997 war die ehemalige Weltemühle Teil des "Romantikhotel Pattis", seit 2012 "Hotel Villa Weltemühle".
