Description
Deutsch: Der Verein "Mainzer Unterwelten" organisierte am 20. Dezember 2014 eine Besichtigung der erhaltenen und heute unter der Erdoberfläche befindlichen Räume des Fort Hartenberg, welche normalerweise nicht öffentlich zugänglich sind und sich auf einer Fläche von ca. 27 m x 17 m unter dem Hauptweg des Hartenberg-Parks erstrecken. Viele der Räume wurden nach 1945 als Notwohnungen genutzt, was sich bis heute in den unterschiedlichen Bemalungen der Wände zeigt. Die oberen Stockwerke des Forts wurden beim Bau der Grundschule um 1966 abgetragen, die unteren wurden zugemauert und zugeschüttet.
