Summary[edit]

Description
English: Detail of a Baroque confessional in the south transept of the Basilica of Saint-Servatius in Maastricht, the Netherlands. The seven confessionals in the church were originally made for the Dominican church in Maastricht by Daniel van Vlierden (and perhaps others) in the late 17th century. In 1804 they were moved to their present location. This confessional features the carved statues of Saint Peter and Saint Paul. The frieze is decorated with floral motives. Below it the text: CONEFESSEUR FRANCAIS. Above the frieze a coat of arms and the text: PETRUS DAEMEN P[RIOR] - EATIS ET FRUCTUM AFFERATIS - Yo[]anni]s 15.
