Description
Deutsch: Das mit dem MODIS-Instrument auf dem Terra-Satelliten der NASA am 26. Februar 2018 aufgenommene Satellitenbild zeigt den östlichen Nordatlantik und Europa unter dem Einfluß des Hochdruckgebietes Hartmut und des zyklonalen Tiefdruckgebietes Ulrike (bei den Azoren). Deutlich erkennbar sind die Schneefallgebiete in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern durch den Lake Effect der Ostsee und die durch Lake Effect über der Nordsee westlich von Dänemark entstehende Bewölkung, die zu teils ergiebigen Schneefällen über den britischen Inseln führte.
