Summary[edit]

Description
English: View of Oranjeplein, part of the "Green Carpet" (Groene Loper) under construction in Maastricht, Netherlands. The Green Carpet is laid out on top of the Koning Willem-Alexandertunnel, where the A2 motorway ran aboveground until 2016. Around 1100 houses will be built along this 2.5 km long park-like zone. Over 2000 lime trees have been planted. The new road is destined for local traffic; the central strip will be reserved for bicycles and pedestrians.
