Description
Nederlands: Vervallen en deels gesloopte gebouwen van de textielfabriek S.A. Textile de Pepinster aan de rivier de Vesdre in Pepinster, België. Gesticht in 1815, kwam de wolfabriek in 1828 in handen van de textielfabrikanten Lieutenant & Peltzer uit Verviers. In 1921 namen de Maastrichtse ondernemers en broers Jules (II) en Georges Regout het roer over. Zij waren getrouwd met de zussen Adrienne en Jeanne Lieutenant, dochters van Alfred Lieutenant. Na een grote brand in 1939 en oorlogschade in 1940-44 werd de fabriek grotendeels herbouwd. In 1961 werd het bedrijf verkocht aan een Duitse investeerder. De fabriek sloot in 1976, waarna de gebouwen werden verhuurd aan kleine bedrijfjes. Anno 2019 vinden er sloopwerkzaamheden op het terrein plaats, hoewel een deel van de gebouwen in 1994 op een lijst van behoudenswaardige industriële monumenten in Wallonië stond.
