Description

Under 2020 uppgick underskottet i de offentliga danska finanserna till 26,7 miljarder DKK enligt preliminär statistik från Danmarks Statistik som noterar att underskottet minskat med 17,8 miljarder DKK genom extraordinära skatteintäkter från beslutet att utbetala innestående semesterpengar till alla danskar. Underskottet på 26,7 miljarder kan jämföras med en prognos från maj 2020 på ett underskott på 160 miljarder för helåret. Fackföreningen 3F:s chefekonom Frederik I. Pedersen skriver i en kommenterar på Twitter om det stora prognosfelet: "Betyder også at den offentlige gæld (alt andet lige) vil stige langt mindre end nogen har vurderet eller frygtet. Sætter gældsdiskussionen i perspektiv". Även Danske Banks chefekonom Las Olsen är positivt överraskad med tanke på nedstängningar och stora stödinsatser under coronapandemin och kommenterar på Twitter: "Så endte 2020 med at blive et nærmest helt normalt år for de offentlige finanser, langt fra fortidens kriser".
