Description
Deutsch: Dresden. Rugestraße: Die Rugestraße befindet sich in der Südvorstadt und verläuft von der Nürnberger Straße zur Bergstraße, sie mündet dort in die Reichenbachstraße. Sie kreuzt die Eisenstuckstraße und die Einmündung der Altenzeller Straße, Zunächst war es die Bendemannstraße, nach dem Geschichtsmaler Eduard Bendemann (* 3. Dezember 1811 in Berlin, † 27. Dezember 1889 in Düsseldorf) benannt, welcher von 1838 bis 1859 Professor an der Dresdner Kunstakademie war. 1937erfolgte die Umbenennung in Rugestraße, Sophus Ruge (1831–1903) war Geograph und Lehrer an der Handelslehranstalt und der Annenschule.
