| Description | 330-PS-2192 (80805 A.C.) Blanket Destruction in North Korea. An important Communist marshalling yard and repair structures at Bashin were turned into a scene of rubble after B-29 “Superforts” of the Far East Air Forces Bomber Command dropped a heavy tonnage of high explosives with pin-point precision August 25. Located in far North Korea on the east coast, Bashin’s rail network had lain unmolested by the medium bombers for more than a year. Production came to a sudden halt by this bombing attack. Fires and secondary explosions were seen by crew-members before his heavy smoke blanket obliterated the area. This was another step in FEAF’s interdiction program of preventing the forward movement of supplies and equipment. This blow as administered by the veteran 98th Bombardment Wing.
