Description
English: 330-PS-7482 (709511): Lieutenant Junior Grade William Z. Stomski, USN, (Retired), who is making a personal Goodwill Tour of the United States, visited the Pentagon today and called on Admiral Arleigh A. Burke, USN, Chief of Naval Operations. Lieutenant Stomski’s wife, Marge, looks on as he shows Admiral Burke photographs of his trailer marked: “The Navy Was My Career. I’m Retired. Ask Me About It.” Lieutenant Stomski, accompanied by his wife, is touring the country at his own expense and telling the American Public of the satisfying life he found in more than 30 years of Naval Service. The couple work with the Navy Recruiters in the cities they visit although recruiting is not the major purpose of the 12-month, 50,000 mile trip. Photograph released September 15, 1955. (2/25/2015).
