Description
English: 330-PS-7538 (USN 681174): Technical Sargent Thomas E. McEvoy, foreground, and Master Sargent Hendrik Dolleman quiet the ever-nervous Eskimo Huskies after a stint of pulling a man-sled carrying Ensigns David E. Baker and John Tuck. These four dog experts will accompany 30 Eskimo Huskies to the Antarctic where the dogs will be held in reserve to be air-dropped to explorers in hazardous spots where surface or air rescue is impossible. Photograph released October 10, 1955. (2/25/2015).
