Description
English: 330-PS-8440 (USN 1016650): Talos Missile takes off in blaze from launcher. The missile is powered with a ramjet engine which boosts it to supersonic speed. The booster employs a solid propellant rocket during the first few seconds of its phase. The booster falls away and the ramjet engine takes over the propulsion chore. Photograph released June 17, 1957. (12/30/2014).
