Summary[edit]
Description367 Ferry, Astoria, Oregon (21880779313).jpg |
367 Ferry, Astoria, Oregon Presumably the Astoria–Megler ferry run, 1921-1966. The ferry appears to be Tourist No. 3 [1], built 1931. To the left of the ferry appears to be a Landing Ship Medium with pennant number 212. This is probably LSM-212[2] which was launched in 1944, placed in the reserve fleet in 1946, sold in 1959 and broken up in 1963. This image is presumably from sometime between the launch and sale of LSM-212. |
