Description Built c. 1694 for Dormer Sheppard, a London merchant. Acquired in 1714 by Dame Mary Gayer, widow of the East India Company's Governor of Bombay and her monogram appears in the ironwork.After 1880 it was converted for institutional use becoming a Jewish Old People's Home before being converted back to a private home in 1998.
