English: Description/Blazon:
On a disc Azure, an open parchment scroll Argent, surmounted by a torch Tenné enflamed Proper (Scarlet and Yellow), between eight mullets, four arched in pale to dexter and as many arched in pale to sinister Or, all within a narrow border Yellow. Attached above the disc, a Blue scroll edged with a narrow Yellow border and inscribed "UNIVERSAL SUPPORT" in Yellow letters. Attached below the disc, a Blue scroll edged with a narrow Yellow border and inscribed "37TH MISSION SUPPORT SQ" in Yellow letters. Symbolism: Ultramarine Blue and Air Force yellow are the Air Force colors. Blue alludes to the sky, the primary theater of Air Force operations. Yellow refers to the sun and the excellence required of Air Force personnel. The stars are representative of the eight virtues the unit possesses in providing personnel support. The torch is symbolic of training, which is the main function of the unit since its inception. The scroll represents the written promise to provide universal support to the Air Force and its organizations, its populace and the surrounding community |
