Description
English: One of Lothian Buses' 11-registered Volvo B9TL / Wrightbus Eclipse Gemini 2's (No. 382, reg SN11 EDJ), seen here heading west along Princes Street working a route 25 service to Riccarton. This is one of two in the batch which received this special livery to promote Edinburgh's bid to become the location of the proposed (Scottish) National Performance Centre for Sport (goedinburgh2016.com). The campaign was ultimately successful, with Edinburgh being announced the winner on 11 September 2013, beating bids from Stirling and Dundee. The centre is to be built on Heriot-Watt University's campus, which is appropriately given this scene, in Riccarton.
