한국어: 40계단문화관광테마거리는 국민은행 중앙동지점에서부터 40계단을 거쳐 40계단문화관과 팔성관광에 이르는 거리로서 50-60년대 어려웠던 시절의 애환과 향수가 짙게 서리어 있는 40계단 일대를 그 당시의 생활상을 테마로 하여 대화재 전의 옛 부산역을 주제로 한 기찻길과, 피난민을 실어 나르던 부산항을 주제로 한 바닷길로 조성하였다.
기찻길에는 희망찬 내일을 향한 등불을 형상화한 40계단 문화관광테마거리 상징게이트인 평화의 문을 비롯하여 뻥튀기 아저씨 등 4점의 조형물과 철도레일, 40계단 및 건널목 광장이 있으며, 바닷길에는 소리계단 및 선착장 광장과, 힘든 노동에 지쳐 잠시 편안하게 휴식을 갖는 아버지의 휴식 등 옛 생활상을 재현한 2점의 조형물을 설치하였습니다. 그리고 지난 날의 정취를 느낄 수 있는 영화 포스터와 가로등 목 전주에 까치집을 설치하여 과거와 현재가 함께 어우러지도록 조성하였으므로, 이 거리를 찾는 모든 분들이 메마른 회색 도심 속에서 편안한 휴식을 취하면서 옛 추억을 회상하고 낭만에 젖을 수 있는 공간으로 이용되길 바랍니다. |
