Summary[edit]

Description
Türkçe: 57. Alay, 19. 57. Alay burada yararlılıklar göstermesine rağmen, Meggido Muharebesi'nde İngilizler tarafından çembere alındı. Mevcudu 2 gün içerisinde makineli tüfek bölüğüyle birlikte 260 kişiye düştü. Kalan askerlerin esir alınmasıyla alay imha oldu.
English: The 57th Regiment was deployed in the Keşan region after the 19th Division left the Çanakkale Front on January 19, 1916, and was sent to the Galician Front under the newly established 15th Corps, together with the 19th Division, after its deficiencies were corrected. After showing great usefulness here, the regiment, whose number was 1,100, was taken behind the front and its deficiencies were corrected. Then he was taken to the front again; but with the outbreak of the October Revolution in Russia, the war ended here. This time, he was sent to the Sinai and Palestine Front with the Army Corps. Although the 57th Regiment proved useful here, it was surrounded by the British at the Battle of Meggido. Its presence decreased to 260 people, including the machine gun company, within 2 days. With the remaining soldiers captured, the regiment was destroyed.
