Summary[edit]

Description
English: Fresh from an overhaul and on it's debut run, BR built Thompson B1 no 61306 Mayflower is seen at the end of platform 3 after arriving with the "Winter Cumbrian Mountain Express" which ran from London Euston to Carlisle. 61306 was acting as pilot engine to SR Merchant Navy no 35018 British India Line with the two engines taking over the train at Carnforth.
