Original Image Name: Piciwiki_israel_80713_DSC09521.JPG Notes: הבית הוקם ב-1930 כבית הביטחון של הקיבוץ. היה המבנה הבנוי הראשון בקיבוץ והוא הוקף באוהלים וצריפים ששימשו למגורים. היישובים ערביים מסביב קראו למבנה "קלעת אל אביאד" - המבצר הלבן. בנוסף פעלו במקום בית ילדים, מזכירות, הנהלת חשבונות, דואר ועוד.ב-2 באפריל 1946 נורתה אבן הפינה של הרחבת הבית על ידי חיים ויצמן. תכנון השיפוץ וההרחבה נעשה על ידי האדריכל אריה שרון בסגנון הבאוהאוס. במסגרת פעילות זו שופץ המבנה המקורי ונבנו לו אגפים נוספים וכן שונה שם הבית ל בית סרני על שם הצנחן, חבר הקיבוץ,אנצו סרני.(ויקיפדיה
