English: Looking NE from near foot of 33rd St.:

Towboat "Sarah L. Ingram" upbound at K&I Bridge, approaching McAlpine Locks. Fishermen are collecting spoonbills (paddlefish) from nets hung from plastic jugs. Sand Island is visible at right.

Ingram" (doc. # 663288, length 160 feet, width 42 feet, GM 16-645E7B diesels, 6140 hp.) built in 1983 by Greenville Shipbuilding Corp., Greenville, Mississippi Originally named "American Challenge" and owned by Harcon Barge Co., Smithland, Kentucky In 1988, sold to M/G Transport Services, Cincinnati, Ohio, and renamed "William McD. Kite" In 1994, sold to Ingram Barge Co., Nashville, Tennessee, and renamed "Sarah L. Ingram" Still operating as of 2017
