Summary[edit]

Description A U.S. Navy Douglas A-1H Skyraider from Attack Squadron VA-165 firing 5.0-inch High-Velocity Aircraft Rockets (HVAR), called "Holy Moses", in 1963. A product of the CalTech-NOTS wartime rocket program, HVAR versions remained with the USN until the mid-1960s. The HVAR motor was also the base upon which the Ram tank-killer was built, as well as being the original AIM-9 Sidewinder motor.
