Summary[edit]
DescriptionA "pile of stones" - geograph.org.uk - 568639.jpg |
English: A "pile of stones" The local cairn builder must have seriously upset the OS Surveyor. Perhaps he ran off with his wife?
This well built cairn is fully 9 feet tall. A path which is clear at this point runs due north. My best guess is that these cairns were commissioned by the mine owner to help guide his workers in poor conditions. |
