Description
English: The image depicts the Golden Apple Snail, also known as the Channeled Apple Snail (Pomacea canaliculata), which has become increasingly prevalent in rural areas of Hunan, China, over the past 15 years. Concurrently, native snail species have been dwindling in numbers. This photograph was taken during a field survey for an invasive species project conducted by the authors in rural areas.
