CREATE50

Create50 (www.create50.com) is a creative initiative set up by the London Screenwriters’ Festival (www.londonscreenwritersfestival.com) in 2012. It is designed to platform the work of emerging screenwriters, filmmakers, short story writers, composers and artists. Create50 is now run by Create50 Ltd and operates out of Ealing Studios in West London.

History

The initiative was set up by the London Screenwriters’ Festival in 2012 with the aim of helping emerging screenwriters and filmmakers develop their skills and obtain their first production credit.

The first Create50 project was 50Kisses (http://50-kisses.create50.com/50-kisses), and the resultant feature film premiered at Genesis Cinema on 13 February 2014.

Since then, Create50 has run a number of other projects, including Twisted50 (http://twisted-vol1.create50.com/twisted-vol1 archive copy at the Wayback Machine), The Impact50 (http://theimpact.create50.com/theimpact archive copy at the Wayback Machine), and The Singularity50 (http://singularity50.create50.com/singularity50 archive copy at the Wayback Machine)

The Create50 Philosophy

Create50 is a writing community and support group whose central philosophy is “together we are stronger”. Create50 provides a platform on which writers, filmmakers, composers and artists can showcase their talent and work collaboratively, providing feedback on each other’s work and developing their own work to the highest standards possible.

Create50 is an evolutionary initiative which is constantly reinventing itself in order to achieve its core principle to help people create and get their work seen.

Notable Industry Judges

The following notable individuals have been judges for one or other of the Create50 projects: Ted Tally, Lisa Albert, Nicole Perlman, Simon Kinberg, William Nicholson, and Iain Smith.

Create50 Core Team
