| Description |
English: A Scottish Ambulance Service helicopter at Borders General Hospital This Eurocopter-EC-135T-1, registration number G-SASA, has landed on the helipad at the Borders General Hospital in Melrose to pick up a patient for transportation to another hospital. To assist helicopter pilots to judge the wind direction on the ground, a windsock is erected in a socket on an embankment on the west side of the landing area. This can be seen on the far left, and is erected by a porter when the hospital is informed of the likely arrival of a helicopter. |
