| Description |
English: A hillside with unexpected surprises This non-descript slope has a line four deep shaft like holes formed by the working of underground caverns to the surface which are completely hidden from anyone approaching across the flat area above the slope. Although one or two of these holes have degraded inclines, none provide a means of access to the floors below, except headlong. Great care is needed in these abandoned quarries as shafts and pits are in the main unprotected. Only a shlemiel would walk across a quarry at night. |
