Two European bee-eaters, (merops apiaster), sitting on a twig.

Summary[edit]

Description I was sharing a pop-up hide with another photographer. We decided that we wanted shots of Bee-eaters interacting on a perch. We waited all morning, all we got were single Bee-eaters then, just as we were about to leave - a second Bee-eater joined one on the nearest perch. My new colleague had a rush of blood and jammed his finger on his shutter set at High-speed continuous burst. The sudden noise frightened the Bee-eaters and that was that. Here is the one shot I got!!! Very quiet trip back to the Lodge.
