Summary
[edit]DescriptionA poplar meets its end - geograph.org.uk - 309174.jpg |
English: A poplar meets its end One of a row of mature poplars on the edge of Wood Green, Witney, this one blew over in high winds on the morning of 11 January 2007. The local authority was commendably quick off the mark and clearance was well underway when this image was obtained. Even to the photographer's untutored eye, the tree at its base looks thoroughly rotten. If the rest of the row are like this it can't be long before they will have to be felled. The three-storey building in the background is known as 'Old Warehouse Flats'. |
