| Description |
English: A weir on the Rheidol. One of several which maintain upstream water levels at low tide. The small inner harbour across the river is left dry by the low tide. The grassed embankment near the top of the picture, now a footpath, is the route of the Vale of Rheidol Railway harbour branch line. This transported timber and lead ore to the harbour from the upper Rheidol valley, for onward shipment by sea. |
