Description
English: The street in question is Aachener Straße and is located in Cologne, Germany, with this specific point being in the nearest proximity to the center. The photo is captured using a camera with a native full-frame sensor and an infra-red filter of ca. 680nm on top of it, meaning that all visible light below that wavelength (i.e. blue and greenish hues) is blocked, and the corresponding areas appear grey. The only colours remaining are of longer wavelengths, such as orange.

Фотография была сделана в вечернее время на полноспектральную камеру с инфра-красным фильтром (здесь: около 680 нм). За счет этого часть видимого света с меньшей длиной волны блокируется, а соответствующие участки отображаются в менее насыщенных цветах, а то и вовсе в черно-белом: особенно хорошо это заметно в теньке на тротуаре, где отсутствует привычная синева.
Deutsch: Dargestellt ist der innenstädtische Teil der Aachener Straße in Köln. Das Bild ist mittels einer Kamera mit einem nativen Full-Spectrum Sensor aufgenommen worden, obendrauf ist ein Infrarot-Filter der Wellenlänge von ca. 680nm platziert. Dadurch wird der kürzerwellige Teil der Strahlung blockiert, und die betroffenen Anteile des sichtbaren Lichts (z.B. Blau und Grün) werden gar nicht oder erst stark entsättigt übertragen. Besonders gut kann man dies in den Schattenbereichen beobachten, wo das zu erwartende Blau beinahe komplett unterdrückt worden ist.

This is a forensic edition of a widely-used camera which is not sold anywhere around here. It was heavily implied to me upon loaning that the reasons behind it are of legal nature. Glad I got to live that thug life for a week, I guess ;)
