circa 12 x 8,9cm (4 3/4 x 3 1/2in.)

Fijngestampte verkoolde bast van de kwepi-boom wordt als bindmiddel in een verhouding 1:1 met de klei vermengd, waarna het geheel middels de spiraaltechniek in de juiste vorm wordt gebracht. Bij deze techniek worden lange cylinders gerold en spiraalvormig op elkaar gelegd, waarna de zo ontstane wanden kunnen worden gladgestreken met een spatel. Het stuk kan dan worden gedroogd en gebakken.
