English: Abbey Mill in Abbey Gardens Classical portico added to the Abbey Mill building. The Abbey Mill River (mill race) runs directly beneath it.
Its Grade II listing describes it thus: "Garden Temple built across conduit to mill, Roman Doric portico of 4 columns, entablature and pediment crowned by urns. Circa 1750. Possibly designed by William Pescod in 1751 and only a fragment of the original (Pevsner)." |
