| Description |
English: Characteristic curve in the transition between "normal" and "abnormal" glow: it is obtained from the Paschen curve for Argon (data of the parameters A,B interpolating the first Townsend coefficient taken from Lieberman and Lichtenberg, Principles of Plasma Discharges, Wiley 2005), by putting pressure=constant, and varying d according to the equation for the current density near the cathode. Ion mobility assumed=1, current dentiy normalized to the value in the minimum V_c (=voltage at the cathode). |
