Summary[edit]

Description
English: Above the Inverchapel Burn Looking down steep slopes towards Strath Eck. The Inverchapel Burn runs through a deep gorge in shadow. The Ordnance Survey 1:25000 map is currently very inaccurate here: There are no conifer plantations on this slope as they have been removed to encourage the birch woods. The few self seeded trees will probably be cut down as well. In the background, significant conifer plantations alongside the road have been omitted. As ever in Cowal, using several sources of mapping will pay off. The Harvey's Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park atlas is very useful in dealing with forestry.
