Abraham Lincoln Birthplace Memorial Landscape, Abraham Lincoln Birthplace National Historical Site. The small scale features of the Memorial Landscape represent the original commemorative design, War Department additions, and improvements by the National Park Service. This layout of the Plaza and flagpole at the base of the staircase dates to the 1911 construction.
