Abraham Lincoln Birthplace Memorial Landscape, Abraham Lincoln Birthplace National Historical Site. The spring is one of the site's only defining features of the original Lincoln birthplace landscape. In 1928, the War Department added stone retaining walls and steps to make it more accessible.
