It is the largest deportation prison in Bavaria, the second largest in Germany. Deutsch: Abschiebegefängnis in Hof. Es soll im November 2021 in Betrieb genommen werden, hat 150 Plätze und kostet 78 Millionen Euro. Es ist das größte Abschiebegefängnis in Bayern, das zweitgrößte in Deutschland. Kritisiert wird die dahinter stehende Praxis, in der abschiebepflichtige inhaftiert werden sollen, die Anträge aber teilweise fehlerhaft bearbeitet worden sein sollen.
