Photograph, printed, paper, monochrome, a group of five women holding American flags; printed caption on reverse 'The United States of America will be well represented in the procession of Suffragettes which is to take place on Saturday. Our picture shows the American ladies who will carry the American flag and colours of the movement. Reading from left to right they are: Miss J Twells, Miss E[ugenie] Freeman (organiser of the American movement for Women's Suffrage), Miss Maud Roosevelt (niece of President Roosevelt), Professor LJ Martin of the Stanford University, California, and Miss Ada Wright', also 'Copyright World's Graphic Press Limited, 36-38 Whitefriars Street, Fleet Street, London'
