| Description | On two seperate occasions I had grenades thrown at my platoon from behind this lock-up. We never caught the grenadier as he'd escape down the maze of alleys stinking of excrement and then disappear inside a nearby coffee shop mingling amongst the men drinking coffee. This small building, at the side of the main road, between Mansura Picquet and Mansura Prison, gave good cover to gunmen or grenadiers who engaged us from behind the building and then smartly withdrew into the narrow alleys one can see behind the lock-up. |
