Summary[edit]
DescriptionAfon Ystwyth emerging from gorge - geograph.org.uk - 1082136.jpg |
English: Afon Ystwyth emerging from gorge There are two gorge sections on the Afon Ystwyth due to the steep descent of the river from Cwmystwyth to just west (downstream) of Pontrhydygroes. Geologically, this is a consequence of the Ystwyth tapping into what was originally the upper Teifi. The gorge sections are downstream of the villages of Cwmystwyth and Pontrhydygroes. |
