Description

Agaricus deardorffensis Kerrigan

Image location: Lawn behind East Asian Library, UC Berkeley Campus, Berkeley, Alameda Co., California, USA

Using the key in Mushrooms Demystified, I keyed this mushroom out to be Agaricus deardorffensis due to its dark brown spores, fibrillose cap, slight phenolic odor, yellow KOH reaction and tendency to bruise yellow when cut.
