Description
Español: Grupo de jazz tradicional chileno La Bix Band. Esteban Estay en trompeta, Roberto Michillanca en batería, Nacho Román en banjo, Jeff Parker en tuba y Alfredo Espinoza en saxo. En 1998 adoptó el nombre de Los Eufóricos del Jazz, nombre que se mantuvo hasta 2005. En este período de 7 años, los miembros de esta banda adquirieron mayores conocimientos musicales y el dominio de los instrumentos ademas de lo que ellos definen como un proceso colectivo, definiendo el nombre actual de La Bix Band en homenaje al trompetista estadounidense Bix Beiderbecke, uno de los primeros músicos de origen europeo que toco jazz. El estilo musical o la forma asumida por esta banda pasa a los ritmos tradicionales de jazz, dixieland, blues, work song, incorporando esta sonoridad en sus temas propios en el formato original de las bandas de los años 1920.
