Description
Interlingue: At the Hôtel de la Marine in Paris, from March 6 to June 30, 2024, exhibition "Le Goût de la Renaissance (Renaissance Style). Un dialogue entre collections (A dialogue between collections)", in collaboration between the Al Thani Collection and the Victoria & Albert Museum in London ; bust of Emperor Hadrian : the head of the Roman Empire around 117-138 in chalcedony was recut around 1250, the torso in enameled vermeil with pearls is from Venice between 1550 & 1600, the green porphyry pedestal was added around 1850 ; 20.8 X 18.8 X 9.5 cm (ATC 023c).
