| Description |
English: Albyn Industrial Estate, Broxburn This industrial estate, off Greendykes Road, Broxburn, occupies several of the buildings of a former shale oil refining works and is surrounded by the pink bings (waste heaps) of burnt shale. It was previously served by a North British Railway branch from the Edinburgh and Glasgow main line between Newbridge Junction and Winchburgh Tunnel and linked by a network private railways through to other "Paraffin" Young works in Broxburn and at Roman Camp and Pumpherston. |
