Summary[edit]

Description Mont Blanc Massif and Pennine Alps, for details see annotations. The image shows the highest mountain of Western Europe, the Mont Blanc in France (foreground), and the second highest mountain of Western Europe, the Dufourspitze in the Monte Rosa massif in the Pennine Alps in Switzerland (background, right). Further, some of the highest and/or most prominent mountains of Switzerland like the Matterhorn (background, left from Monte Rosa, however difficult to spot) and the Dom in the Mischabel group are covered.
