Summary[edit]

Description The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Sacramento District finished a levee improvement project along the American River Parkway Trail near the California State University-Sacramento campus, shown Nov. 9, 2011. Funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, the $2.2 million project installed a seepage cutoff wall in a 162-foot-long stretch of levee at the west end of Northrop Avenue. Another levee improvement site is scheduled to begin construction spring of 2012. (U.S. Army video by Todd Plain/RELEASED)
