Summary[edit]

Description
English: A reminder at the National World War II Memorial in Washington, DC, "Americans Came to Liberate," draws little speculation about why American military forces still occupy parts of Europe and the Pacific decades after the end of World War II, although it has been suggested that the real purpose of "Americans Came to Liberate" is to explain why American military forces invaded Afghanistan and Iraq.
